My house was all set up with a lot of Tupperware product. I have more than I realized in my house! I also had some extra product that I wrapped up to sell, and put out the display for specials next month's hosts.
I set up a table for adding up orders with the door prizes on it.
There was all sorts of product out on the table along with a Tupperware tablecloth that I borrowed from S, my manager. She lent me a bunch of other items to display as well.
There was kids items and other miscellaneous product on my china cabinet.
I had a display for Modular Mates with pictures of my pantry before and after. All the samples that I had from the spring flyer were on the island along with the refreshments. Juice in a Tupperware pitcher, mango salsa made with the Southwest Chipotle Seasoning blend, made in the Quick Chef that is on special. And a Lime White Chocolate Macadamia Nut dessert pizza which I got to cut with my new Power Wheel Cutter (I love that pizza cutter!)
Everything looked great, if I do say so myself. And 1:00 came very quickly. R went down for a nap and DH went out to wash the car, and I sat here. For an entire hour... I sat, then decided to drink something. Then decided to start on the pizza - SO GOOD! (The recipe came from the Tupperware website.) Then played 2 games of Solitaire on my PDA... then R woke up! I was never so happy to have his company. Just after that L and her kids, then J and her girls came (yeah, thanks guys for coming and supporting me!) and just before 3:00, my neighbour came over for a few minutes. So I had a total of 3 people at my open house. Which, I must say, is 2 more than two other people I know who had open houses in the past (I found that out after I had gotten the invites out. I never would've wanted to plan one if I'd known that beforehand, though I might've done a little less preparation and planning. Oh, well.) Having a little more relaxing of a time and visit with the girls was very nice. And I have potentially 6 other people who couldn't make it to the open house, but put in orders, so that is good.
I have 3 parties yet to do and will hopefully book more from them, so I will get this business up and off the ground yet. It will be good. It always takes a bit to get a business rolling and I am going to make this work. I am thankful that I am in a business that I really like the product and am liking it more as I get more involved, so that is awesome.
Again, anytime anyone needs something, let me know! LOL :)
