Stuck songs

Have you ever had a song that gets in your head and no matter what you try to do, it will not vacate? I have heard that this is actually a part of your brain that is responsible for it and that there is a medical condition that people have had surgery to detach that part of their brain and therefore short-circuit the continuous replay of the same song. (I looked for it on the web and couldn't find it though, so maybe it is an urban myth - I should check on http://www.snopes.com/, I guess. :)
I have had two songs warring in my head since yesterday. I took a nap and when I woke up from my nap I had this sensation that my pillow was wet. I realized that it was indeed and that apparently I had drooled in my sleep. Now, I am not a regular drooler, not that I know of, only sometimes when I am napping and it has been an especially deep, yet short, sleep. I hate the feeling of a wet pillow though and the feeling of the corner of your mouth still being numb after you get up for awhile with you wondering whether there is still saliva running out the side of your mouth. Not a pretty thought and an even less pretty reality if it is.
So the song from "Home Improvement" that Tim Taylor once sang about Jill came into my head. "Drooling, drooling, I'm drooling down the river..." Aaaahh! And the song that was in my head before I went to sleep did not like that and came rushing back with a vengeance. "We're the Doodlebops, we're the Doodlebops, we're the Doodlebops, ooh yeah..." (R and I had watched it just before we both went down for naps.) Now, both these songs are playing back and forth in my head and I am not impressed. I would rather have a multitude of songs than these in my head, like "Live Like You Were Dying" or an Avalon song or the Barenaked Ladies that have been playing at our house recently. But no, I have a children's song and a made up song that I haven't heard in over 5 years. Go figure!
