At least the boy got what he needed

I am growing out of my clothes once more. I feel a little like a beached whale at times, though I know that it is basically only my belly that is huge. Not being able to see my feet helps with the feeling that I am enormous, but at least in that I share with all pregnant women. Except those crazy really skinny people who only have a little basketball for a tummy like my cousin did and we won't talk about them. (She was really big the second time around, so I can't hate her. :) People keep telling me that I look so small for carrying twins and I keep telling them that I have a long torso. I am spread out with babies from the top, right under my chest to the bottom, right by my bone. And they spread from side to side. Looks OK when you are standing, but sit me down and I am a whale again.
All this negativity has come about because today I spent 3 hours looking for some clothes - just a couple of items - that would be able to get me through the next 4-9 (at the max) weeks. After visiting 5 stores, trying to keep an eye on a curious son who learnt it is fun to hide in the middle of clothing racks (!), I came home with 1 top. One top for me. Everything was either too small or would be in the next week or WAY to big in the chest, which, even though it is bigger than normal, is no comparison for the LARGE belly underneath and therefore looks that much smaller. And the pants would be OK, if I didn't have a bottom dweller for a child again and feel like I am cutting into someone's head with a waistband. Fun times!
I was lucky that I remembered that we were going to get waffle underwear and plastic pants to try to start potty training R, so don't have to go back to WalMart for that one! Oh, and
I got him a little ball cap which presently he won't wear as it's "too big" - it fits just right, he just wanted the bigger one. He's still having troubles with his opposites.
So a shopping trip that I was a hyped up about getting some more things for my wardrobe basically turned out to be shopping for R. Which once you become a mom, doesn't everything you do turn out that way?
