So beware if you are wanting to get photos printed through Costco, make sure that you have the website www.costco.ca, not www.costco.com. Very important! Though the US one of .com if great, easy to upload photos to and easy to use, it is not possible to order pictures from them. Yes, I found this out the hard way.
Oh, and the server for costco.ca is the same server as WalMart's online photo service (and Black's Photography online). It was down today.
I found this out after about 4 hours of uploading to www.costco.com, finding out my mistake, trying to upload to www.costco.ca, then www.walmartphotocentre.com, it not working, so I rebooted my computer in case it was me. I then transferred only the pictures I wanted to get for my Grandma for this weekend to an SD and tried on the laptop in case it was the fact that we have the pictures on an external drive. This didn't work either, so I packed up R and went to WalMart and ordered them on the computers there - after waiting for one to get free and having my child whine and complain the entire time.
Yeah, it was a fun day. NOT! I feel like I worked and ran all day and have not a lot to show for it. Good thing the pictures turned out pretty good, especially eight that I got in sepia tones that I put in frames already for DH's new office (they moved to a permanent office). They look great! Hey, I did get all my laundry washed too. Now to go fold it all...
