The small group that we are a part of is the one that we started when we were at RockPointe. Even though we are no longer attending RockPointe we have kept with the group. RockPointe is doing this project where they took an amount of money that they are going to be giving four different projects in Africa to do with AIDS & poverty and gave it to all the small group - every group picked an amount of $500, $750 or $1000 - and the groups are supposed to do creative things with it to increase that money. Our friends' small group did a BBQ and more than tripled their seed money, another group which one of the girls in my book club is in made baskets for Easter to sell and doubles theirs.
Our group is having a "Death by Chocolate" dessert night. On the 31st of May. It will be $15 per person and we are hoping to get 100 people there. There is going to be large amounts of chocolate and a chocolate fountain. It is going to be so good! Because we have been gone for the past week, I have been a little negligent in letting people know, but if you would like to come, I still have some tickets and would love to sell you one or two. Just email me and we can get it for you!
