hopeREVO

DH was away this weekend to a conference in Seattle - Brian McLaren did it and it was "Everything Must Change" based on his book of the same name. DH had a great time, got to explore an amazing city and find out all about its history and got to know our lead pastor Jeff Jarvis and one of the other men on the speaking team who is a elder-in-training at our church, Bob McInnis.
He was telling me some of the things that he learnt about Bob and how much of an activist he is and how he had many blogs going and so I decided to look up his blogs today. One that really interested me is the Carrying Water one as that is what our church is all about and I was reading through it and came across this post. I, of course, had to go check out Krystyn's blog and site about what the hopeREVO is and found out that it is a simple idea, but one that could, as is making a huge difference. This is what the creator has to say about it - "hopeREVO began one evening when I decided to hide encouraging notes around New York City. This simple act inspired other people who heard about it to do the same in their cities. Days later, my inbox was flooded with messages from people spreading hope in their communities, after reading about it on my blog, and as it propagated through the Internet on other blogs. So, I decided to develop this website to start a hope revolution. I hope you'll continue to be part of our revolution as it evolves."
Just a simple thing that we all can do to change our world. And for someone who feels like she never has enough time or energy, this doesn't take a whole lot. I'll let you know when I actually do it. Check it out for yourself and maybe join me!
