The kiddos enjoying the twinceses Christmas gifts...
A getting some horsey rides from Daddy-o. In case you are wondering the person laughing really hard is our neighbor, M. We figured out that day that with her turning 12 at the beginning of May, she could've been our honeymoon baby. Boy do I feel OLD! :) I think K was in bed still napping at the time of the video shooting.
"We are on a journey of desire. But we are not yet home. The fact is, at this point in our journey, we have only three options: to be alive and thirsty, to be dead in our sin, to be addicted. There are no other choices. We must be serious about our happiness." -John Eldredge

Guess Who's Walking!?!
I had something that I had to run out for right at supper, so M was cleaning up when I got home and I told him about the walking and he stood her up right away and reached out his arms and she started walking towards him. He, being the sneaky daddy that he is, kept backing up, making her go farther. She probably did 10 steps and several repetitions before tuckering out.
I haven't gotten her to do it yet today, but I am sure it will come. K does not have interest in it yet, thinks crawling is the easiest and fastest way to get around, but as soon as she sees her big sister going, I am sure she will start too.

A-girl's Heart
Yesterday A went for her 3 month heart appointment. We were there for over two hours in total - they did an echo (ultrasound) of her heart as well as an EKG to measure the electrical currents. During the echo she was crying quite a bit, so they did not get a lot of really clear pictures. The technician thought she saw a tiny 1 mm hole still (it was 4 mm at two weeks of age), though it was a little flap more than a hole and the cardiologist herself thought that the test was inconclusive and there may not be a hole at all! She also couldn't really hear a murmur, so she was really happy and we do not have to go back until A is 2 years of age.
They also weighed and measured her and here are her current stats. It's kind of funny, but according to the last measurements we had she was taller 3 weeks ago! This place uses a more accurate form of measurement though, so I would say it is correct. She is gaining weight though, almost 1 lb in these three weeks! Not the chunk that her sister is, but still gaining.
20.9 inches long
8 lbs 13 oz
Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.
