I was born on the Fourth of July

Did anyone else watch that movie and think it was one of the worst movies that they had ever seen? I hated it! It doesn't help that I actually was born on the fourth of July and didn't relate at all to the character, thank goodness! I have never actually been in the States on my birthday, so can't imagine what the celebrations would be like and I could pretend that it was all for me. One of these years. Maybe the next time my birthday is on a weekend...
Anyways, today I turned 32. Used to sound old... not so much anymore. Though when I was younger I thought I would have a few more things done by now, like another child or two. I am perfectly content with where I am in life though. I love R and his stage of life and am glad that I am a little older and more patient (though sometimes I wonder!) at this stage of life. I also feel good because I am the youngest of the moms in my mom's group and my son is the oldest. It's all in how to perceive things, right? :)
Today was an ordinary day during the day - R was good to his mommy and slept until 8:00. We did some chores, went on a walk to the post office and picked up a parcel (Thanks again, J & S!), R had a 3 hour nap and then went to our friends' G and L's and played with J for the evening at 4. I met DH downtown and we went to the bank, then out for supper at The Metropolitan Grill. I had an amazing Alaskan halibut with chili and cumin on top and a avocado, red onion and tomato pico de gallo on top that was so good! We then went back to the Marble Slab Creamery for an ice cream cone. And back to pick up R.
A good birthday all around!
